This Is Lorelei is the solo recording project of New York-based musician and multi-instrumentalist Nate Amos, started in 2013 after he moved from Burlington, Vermont, to Chicago. Initially a side project and digital diary, it became a platform for over 60 releases exploring experimental pop, influenced by artists like Flying Lotus and Daedelus. Amos, also known for Water From Your Eyes and My Idea with Lily Konigsberg, has produced fragmented works across various styles since 2014. In 2026, Amos released 'Box for Buddy, Box for Star' via a major label, his first album created entirely sober following past substance challenges. The project reflects his focus on musical experimentation and singer-songwriter elements. Live performances feature collaborators like Bailey on drums and Al on bass.
