TR/ST is the Canadian electronic music project of Robert Alfons, originally formed in Toronto in 2010 with drummer Maya Postepski of Austra. The project first recorded as a duo under the name Trust before shortening the name to TR/ST, and later became centered on Alfons as the sole постоянный member. TR/ST’s releases include the self-titled debut album TRST (2012), Joyland (2014), the two-part The Destroyer (2019), and Performance (2024). The music is commonly described as darkwave, synth-pop, or electronic pop, built around dramatic vocals, synth lines, and industrial-leaning beats. In live settings, TR/ST has performed as a dark electronic act with a rotating supporting lineup around Alfons.
