TX2 is the musical project of Timothy Evan Thomas, born October 18, 1999, in Fort Collins, Colorado. Thomas began playing drums at age four, formed rock bands in middle school covering acts like System of a Down and Nickelback, and later experimented with rap and hip-hop. After attending the University of Miami's Frost School of Music on a scholarship, he launched TX2 around 2018 as a solo endeavor blending emo, pop-punk, and rap elements, starting with the album The Modern Punk. The project evolved into a band with members including guitarist Cameron Rostami, who joined about a year ago, while based in Los Angeles. TX2's style fuses emo-punk with hip-hop influences, addressing themes of mental health, LGBTQ+ rights, and personal struggles. Notable releases include the single 'Black Wedding' and an album planned for 2025. The band gained traction via TikTok virality and has sold out headlining tours in Europe, including 600-capacity shows in London.
