CRSSD is San Diego's house-and-techno festival, and it may have the best setting of any dance event in the state: Waterfront Park, on the bay downtown, skyline on one side and harbor on the other. Held twice a year (spring and fall), it trades big-tent EDM for a curated, tastemaker-driven bill, deep house, melodic techno, indie-dance, and the underground names the mega-fests miss. It's daytime, design-forward, and draws a crowd that cares about the music over the spectacle. For SoCal's discerning dance faithful, CRSSD is the twice-yearly pilgrimage south.
