Gold Diggers - Los Angeles, CA | Concert Schedule

Gold Diggers is an intimate club in East Hollywood, blending a 175-person live music venue with a boutique hotel and state-of-the-art recording studio. Housed in a 1924 building originally built as an 'inn above a tavern' on Route 66, it later served as a dive bar, strip club, Ed Wood's soundstage for cult films like Plan 9 from Outer Space, and rehearsal space for punk and metal bands including Slayer and pre-Guns N' Roses Hollywood Rose. Revived in 2018 by owner Dave Neupert, the venue features dark-wood chevron paneling, gold-velvet stage curtains, and Art Deco lighting, curated by music tastemaker Justin Gage of Aquarium Drunkard. Known for indie rock, experimental, and underground acts like Drab Majesty and Mary Lattimore, Gold Diggers offers a retro, music-obsessed atmosphere in a nondescript East Hollywood strip. Unique catwalks from its B-movie era remain, alongside nine acoustically engineered studios managed by Grammy-winning engineers. Upstairs, 11 music-themed rooms with punk relics and vinyl mixes provide an immersive stay above the action, creating a rare 'drink, sleep, record' ecosystem that honors L.A.'s gritty musical legacy.
