Largo at the Coronet is an intimate nightclub and cabaret housed in a restored vintage theater on La Cienega Boulevard in Beverly Grove. The venue features a main room with a capacity of approximately 280 seats and a smaller performance space with around 65-100 seats, allowing for both full-scale shows and developing artists. Originally established in 1992 as a piano bar-focused venue, Largo relocated to the Coronet Theatre in 2008, gaining access to a genuine stage, a feature its original Fairfax location lacked. The Coronet's architectural character defines the experience. Designed by architect Lyle Nelson Barcume, the two-story wood frame building retains period details while accommodating modern performance needs, including a 39-foot proscenium and 17-foot-9-inch grid height. The venue is known for its eclectic programming spanning live music, comedy, and cabaret performances, with a reputation for attracting both established and emerging artists. Jon Brion, Largo's signature act for years, became artist-in-residence at the new location. The club maintains the intimate atmosphere that defined its original incarnation, with a strict no-talking policy during performances that ensures every word resonates. This commitment to audience respect, combined with the venue's vintage theater ambiance and diverse lineup, makes Largo at the Coronet a distinctive destination for live entertainment in Los Angeles.
