The Ford - Los Angeles, CA | Concert Schedule

Nestled in the Cahuenga Pass amid Hollywood Hills foliage, The Ford is a historic 1,200-seat outdoor amphitheater with architecture evoking ancient Jerusalem's gates, crafted from poured concrete by William Lee Woollett in 1931 after the original 1920 wooden structure burned. Originally built for the religious Pilgrimage Play, it evolved through jazz, dance, and a punk rock era in the late 1980s hosting Jane’s Addiction, the Ramones, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, before a $72-80 million renovation from 2013-2016 restored its raw concrete facade, upgraded sound and lighting, added a picnic terrace, and enhanced drainage. Today, this intimate venue, where no seat exceeds 96 feet from the stage, champions diverse programming like global music, Shakespeare, chamber concerts, and emerging artists via IGNITE @ the Ford! and the Artists Partnership Program. An 87-seat black box theater below complements its eclectic summer season of music, dance, film, and family events, offering a visceral alternative to larger spots like the nearby Hollywood Bowl.
