The Moroccan Lounge - Los Angeles, CA | Concert Schedule

Nestled on the edge of Little Tokyo and the Arts District, The Moroccan Lounge is an intimate 250-275 capacity live music club that opened in 2017, transforming a storied 1899 building with one of LA's oldest liquor licenses. Previously home to rowdy spots like Little Pedro’s, Bordello, and One-Eyed Gypsy, it now channels a New York vibe courtesy of co-owners Michael Swier (of Bowery Ballroom and Mercury Lounge fame) and partners, complementing their larger Teragram Ballroom. Subtle Moorish architectural touches, wrought iron windows, arched entrances, moody tile work, brick walls, and vintage wallpaper, blend with modern upgrades like a shortened bar and partitioned lounge area, separating casual hangs from the music room for optimal sound isolation. Renowned for nurturing emerging indie, rock, punk, folk-rock, and experimental acts, like Grizzly Bear, PUP, and Squid Pisser. This rock-focused venue boasts state-of-the-art production: a Soundcraft Vi2000 console, d&b audiotechnik Y Series speakers, grandMA2 lighting, a 20-foot stage, exceptional acoustics, and unimpeded sightlines that punch above its small size. The bohemian atmosphere hums with energy, offering a green room, food truck-style window, and dual spaces for shows or private events, making it a vital hub for DTLA's grassroots music scene.
